It's back and it's 'bad'. My Cerb has been away for a little bit of work. Lots of polybushing, suspension rebuild (nitrons rebuilt with every part replaced), new springs, new throttle spring, handbrake fixed, corner weighting, fix a coolant leak etc etc....
Wow what a difference - ok its a lovely day today but wow does the car ride well - totally silent suspension, is now fine with small pot holes (no swerving round them for me anymore) and just seems so flat through corners. I really cant believe how quiet it is over the rough stuff and how it doesnt feel 'painful' anymore.
Also I have new washer jets that neaten up the wiper arms and now mean a 3 way tidy spray onto the screen. Another Raceproved development.

Today was the last day that the CPS could appeal against the Court Judgement for my Speeding Offence - they didn't - therefore I have a 3 month ban suspended for 2 years

Oh, and to celebrate I managed to find an old cassette with the Foreigner track 'Rev on the Red Line' which contains the immortal line..

All becomes clear,thats why it took so long for my exhaust system and re-map at Raceproved they said a shock refurb had taken longer than expected and bushes were mentioned.
Glad she is going well and your getting a smooth ride now, must say well impressed with mine (Bobs former car) we met up briefly yesterday to measure decibels 92 ish tickover and 120+ at 6000 rpm so no track days then.
Also have the wiper system seems to work well, hope to see you at the OC meet this month so i can pick your brains on a couple of things.

I must measure my decibles - I think my sports exhaust is quite quiet. I think Kev has a meter.
I have a different wiper system - I think mine is a MK2 version and different to yours.

Whoo hoo! Well done. I shouldnt say this but I havent had any points for over 23 years. I did get caught doing 34 in a 30 a few yrs ago but only had to do a speeding awareness course. the sense of satisfaction in your post is just overwhelming..
My 4.2 runs on nitrons and they have that same planted feel.. The 4.5 is booked in with Raceproved for march with some custom oversized INTRAX ready for what i hope will be some raceproved magic..
but if i get half the sense of satisfaction you just got i will be over the moon.!

Apparently the corner weighting gave good results (270, 270, 300, 304 from memory - whatever it means!!).
One of the best things is the throttle bodies / return spring. They fitted a progressive spring afaik as opposed to standard. When I first got this Cerb it had a horrible pair of springs that meant the throttle was stiffer than the brake pedal. But just one spring gave a lovely easy action BUT the revs wouldn't always drop properly and sometimes would rev up on changing gear. Yucky yuck! Now the new spring is fab and feels perfect :-)
I am not sure what suspension spring rates we used in the end but I asked for the same as is mentioned all over this forum and I think is spec'd on the nitron site.
I have taken the car out 3 times now and each time I keep looking for poor surfaces to drive over it rather than round it!! Hopefully the spiders can take the strain.
Took a peak at the dampers and springs through the wheel spokes. Yum they look great. May have to clean the whole area with gunk and shine up the arches.

Should have popped in for a cuppa if you were passing....... hasn't been the most productive days work ever, today. But made up for it by spray emulsion painting one of the freshly tanked cellar rooms this evening (oooooh the excitement never stops....)
