My headlights have decided to pack in. A while back, they wouldn't switch on, but after a couple of minutes driving, they switched on. Now, they just don't want to work at all.

Side lights are ok, dashboard lights are ok, fuses are ok, lamp controller box seems ok (no brown wires on connector plug and no singe marks inside the box), main beam is ok.

Where exactly is the fuse for them and any idea's where else I could check.

It's light nights ATM, so it's not spoiling my enjoyment, but it'll be handy to fix it incase I want to stay out after midnight.

I'm sure you will find it's the connector for headlight unit in boot that's at fault.

I had a problem similar to this last year. As far as I recall it happened just after I'd had my steering wheel re-trimmed, and some of the wiring in the wheel had been trapped/shorted/pulled.

Maybe worth a look

Hope this helps

It seems to point that way, but it seems clean enough.

I shall be spending more time wiggling wires.

Try reseating the connector on the control box, resetting my cure the problem. Check the relays in the boot and the switch in the cabin. The lights 'should' be a very simple circuit!

If fuse 4 (20Amp) is ok, my bets are on the light switch or Double lamp failure

Its that time of the year when our babies spend more time in the garage than on the road... life sucks.

No it doesn't - my baby is still running lovely, albiet in daylight hours. I would rather have a broken but fixable Cerbera than a eurobox.

As good an excuse for a headlight upgrade as any others I've heard You wouldn't need to check the fuse then, it would get done for you...
