First track day at Monthléry

If not you have much bigger balls than me going on a bank like that!I did change wishbone !! New discs , pads , steering rod as well
I've checked & I don't worry about rest of chassis wich is plain
Btw I've tested its strenght by (not doing my best) hitting a vicious pavement in foggy night of East Grinstead wich almost ruined my front wheel on this same side ,I had to debent a huge flat on the Works rim.
Schock was very bad !! & I was worryed about chassis at that time & could'nt figure the real state it was in fact ...
Even such weackened it can handle strong.
Anyway it's been 40 years ! that I hang out in Monthléry & the Cerb is defenetly the safest thing that I've ever drive on the bank.

Well , I had good time on the bank this saturday
Played with corvette ZR6 & 3200 GT others were just too slow
but Track was reduced at a simple oval track , we were not able to use the full lenght & that was a bit boring
Car was great & I 've enjoyed a lot the power & the brakes !!
This is a rail on curvs , slides are very predictable & easy to catch up
The side of the bank wich is normally not employed was too bumpy to be safe at high speed
Was hitting 200 Km/h only
I unfortunatly end up the day with no clutch & no battery
Had to purge the slave cylinder & It worked ok then
I think the battery went off , because I just went home ok on the alternator only
Will check the Volt output & see
Went strong into brakes & that was smelling hot in there !!
Looks like the EBC redstuff are not very the best pads for it ...

Glad it was fun, the circuit there looks ace from the F40 vs Elise vid, so definately try and get a full circuit day soon... leave the phone in your pocket though or get your mate to record it.
Some bizarre cars there, DB4 volante(?) would probably have been my pic of the lot, though the Citroen SM made me smile.

Corvette ZR6 were the fastest , not unbeatable but we were in a demo session & the track commissaire advise me twice
to slow down or to be kicked out , Cerb was defntly the lowdest & seemed to be the fastest to him !!
but anyway I 've managed to show what a UK made is up to ...
However I did follow some lessons before as a UK made already shown who's the best !!
