4.2 AJP V8 dummy question

Hello

When seeing at different source of information, I've seen that the 4.2 AJP V8 has 2 bore/stroke configuration:

Bore × stroke 88.00 mm × 86.00 mm 3.46 in × 3.39 in
Displacement 4.2 litre 4185 cc (255.384 cu in)

Also found in 95 TVR brochure

Bore × stroke 89.00 mm × 86.00 mm 3.5 in × 3.39 in
Displacement 4.3 litre 4280 cc (261.182 cu in)

Also found in 98 TVR brochure



My question is: Is there really 2 type of 4.2 AJP V8 (as I found several mistakes in official TVR documents)

According to my Cerbera handbook its 94x90 for the 4.2

Calculating, this would sound most like a 3.6 speed6 -> bore 90 x stroke 94 = 3.588L

bore on the 4.2 is definately 88mm, as I had to get new liners and rings when I did a rebuild.

I have verified, this is one of the mistakes in the TVR handbook I see, bore/stroke don't match to Capacity

Has anybody experienced an 89mm bore?

it was an engine I fitted into a griffith, but originally it came from a 95-96 cerb I belive, but not one of the early engines with the twin sump plugs
