Still having Door / Electrical Problems.

I let my father in law move the cerb while I was away and he didnt connect the positive on the battery properly. Got the car started and when he shut it off the terminal must of come loose because he got stuck in the car. He phoned me up and i directed him to lever in the footwell. Long and short is that when i connect the battery the hhaazards flash and keep on flashing. The car will start no problem but the door wont shut and the beeping / flashing wont stop. I noticed that the buttons under the mirror werent working and that the anti hijack button on the inside is flashing fast as if the doors have been locked from the inside. If this little button locks up the solenoid and disables the wing mirror buttons then this could be my problem.

Has anyone ever experienced aught like this or have any idea's because replacing the hazard relay and checking the fuses didnt help. Next step for me is the door solenoid which i have seen guides for using the search.

Have you tried disconnecting a plug on the control box in the boot and re-connecting?

I havent but my searches suggested this might be a good idea i'll have a crack at it when i get home this weekend. Do you think its possible that it could reset the solenoid if that is why the door wont shut?

Having similar problems right now. It's going to have the reed switches in the doors replaced next week and it appears that most of the door/window/alarm bit require that to be working correctly before they work. Could be that your FIL was unlucky that they failed when he was near it.

Quite possibly.
There is A logic thing going on in the box.
The reed switch must work for the window to drop and pop the door.
If for example you open the door from inside with the emergency pull, it doesnt know the door is open and therefore gets confused. Hope this makes sense?

Also worth checking the cable in foot well is back in closed position as this would also stop door from re locking.

Checked the cable in the footwell and its back, but i've been doing a few more searched and apparently its also worth checking the mechanism behind the door card just to ensure it has'nt jammed.

Will have a go at all this over the weekend

Not sure if this helps at all but I recently had a window / door problem on my Cerb....whereby it managed to develop a mind of its own while I was replacing the stereo of all things ..... disconnecting/reconnecting the battery and the control module in the boot didn't help, wiggling all the wires behind the dash had no effect.....then eventually I took the drivers door card off (because the speaker wasn't working)....I disconnected / rewired the speaker loom, put everything back together and hey presto suddenly the door/window was as good as new and has been ever since.....not much use but a check of the electrical wiring then a disconnect (for a minute or so) of the battery might solve it. Hi,

The door window control unit seems to be an electrical weak point of the Cerbera they seem to be susceptible to power surges.

Have you checked the wiring out of the control box back towards the loom? When I had my Cerbera the doors stopped working after changing the battery and whilst having a fiddle in the boot I noticed someone had installed an inline 5amp fuse to one of the control units power supplies. The fuse had blown and after replacing it all was OK. I am not sure if this is a common modification to protect the unit.

Worst case (and at the risk of angering Thor and his BanHammer) ebay might be your friend.

Firstly, disconnect the control boxes in the boot, wait and re-connect.

If this doesn't work, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and reconnect, ensuring you have the keys in your pocket and the boot open. You may need to re-sync the fob - have a quick read - up!

Might not work, but these two tricks have usually worked for me!

Your father probably said something to upset the Cerbera!
