Chaps what replacement options are available for the standard air filter? Without modifying the slick standard box setup...

Green Cone filters, don't know if there are any others.

There were a couple of threads a while back.

Hi Tim

Its all custom I had it all made 2 week ago then spent a day fitting it all. All the fuel hoses are stainless with red anodised aluminium ends & the vacuum hoses are now all samco blue.

The stainless replacement, the samco blues are all part of the "build quality/lastability" & "looks" department.... georgous!

And those carbons are great, although I'd personally stick with black pipes to keep the slick look...

Craig, that is beautiful! I need contacts, email me please!!!!

I've added some BMC 'twin-cone' air filters, £100 for the pair through Halfords (who needed to be informed that they were stockists......)

They are a Porsche fitment, but there is a hole for the oxygen sensor to go into.

The part number is TW90-130

They actually came with black pipes but I wanted some colour to go with the fuel and NOS.

Heres the rest............

I used Demon Tweeks the filers are also BMC only there the Carbon Dynamic Air system.

I don't know about the power but these are the exact same filters the Minardi F1 team are currently using! Ferrari are using a similar one only with a longer neck. They have a very high BHP rating (350 each) so I know they can support what ever BHP I'm throwing out........

Which still hasn't been measured as I'm not finished yet. I'm off to Power Engineering on Thursday for my next mod!!!!!

Great, so apart from everything else, how much of a difference to the engine sound note do the new filters make?

I didn't notice any difference with mine, but the exhaust is fairly loud anyway

I must say Craig not only is it a thing of beauty on the outside, it is under the bonnet now . I'm not one normally for shinny things but .

It sounds a little bit more throaty if you know what I mean.
I've got a loud exhaust so it kind of drowns it out!

Those air filters do look fab, but where did you get them from and how much. I have ask a guy at Austec about K&N ones, but he thought they wouldn't be any good.

Any advise would be great.

It all came from Demon Tweeks and total came to just a few pennies under £600
