Just back after fitting a splitter, adjusting the exhaust and fixing the speedo. Let a Griff driver have a go driving - his face was a picture when he came back. The car just brings out the hooligan in people. And just to make my day, showing off the new exhaust and right on cue it spat a two foot flame out of the drivers side tail pipe. I promise never to grow up.
Shame couldn't go out and play today - was absolutely gorgeous weather.....
.... but did get first proper wriggle-on in the Cerb last weekend. Had been out for family day to countryside in Cerb, great to take the family out in it, but gotta be sooooooo restrained behind the wheel that it was little more than driving Ms Daisy trundle around the Derbyshire countryside. Good to be out in the Cerb, but just kinda missing the "hoon" aspect.....
.... well, got back home, unloaded family, and was speaking with my 911 owning neighbour. We'd been talking about going out in each others cars over a few beers previously, so grabbed the moment and suggested we "went for spin round the block" to our respective missus's...... a small, but highly cunning, plan was being hatched (!) while the car was still warm.
After trundling out of Sheffield at completely legal speeds (but with some nice pops and bangs and snarls) chatting about the car, headed out on the Snake Pass, and as he is a bit of a petrolhead too, I ensured that I demonstrated the full accelerative potential of the vehicle!!
Dropped into 2nd at the national speed limit sign, then gave it the full monty thro' 2nd 3rd and well into 4th..... 
Had a pretty good run over to Ladybower with only a few gaggles of cars to effortlessly dispatch in our roaring wake, left at Ladybower then back through Bamford and Hathersage into Sheffield. Car felt great through the twisties, very planted, and it was great to really let it off the leash for the first time this year.
Told missus where we'd been, her comment "you're back quick" says it all, really.
Mate was suitably impressed, heard from a mutual mate the next day that he had reported that the Cerb was "in the next league up" from his 911 Carerra
Always glad to spread the love! And also to confirm that "round the block" in a TVR has a very different meaning to other vehicles!
