4.2 v8 valve guides

Hi does anyone know what the standard material is for the guides? I just noticed the ones sold seem to be steel for the speed six and v8 ones look like copper?

Phosphor Bronze maybe or some other bronze alloy?

Most likely Phosphor Bronze as it is a self lubricating metal.

Slightly off topic but has anyone heard of Sodium-filled exhaust valves for the Cerb ?

I see, Martin apparently the speed six's use steel ones according to TVR power, also i found Racing green sell them for the speed six and also steel, just wondered why they differ from the v8's.

High sideways forces from the finger followers wore them out to quickly.
