Hi Al

I have a big grin too!

In fact, my grin is so big I have to drive with the windows open so I can get in the car (and hear the lovely noise!)

But my kids have the biggest grins! Everytime I accelerate they start squealing with excitment! They're only 5 & 3 - almost 4, daddy, almost 4! - so not surprising really!

Yellow Peril said in the yeehaaa thread that you have a sort of purply silver car? It looks green on your profile! Mine's Imperial Blue with magnolia interior.

Al - if you can try to be objective, if that's possible in your current state of euphoria ...

... do you not feel a fairly major sense of loss by not being able to take the roof off?

I have been struggling with this for nearly a year now. A 2+2 so me, Vicki and 14 month Gabby can all fit in versus open top motoring. And I just can't help thinking that I would regret giving up the rag top.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Early days to be thinking about roof off roof on thoughts but i don`t think it will be a problem for me.
The real point for going to the cerb was unbelievably my children. I got fed up of leaving them at home while i went on drives or meets. They thoroughly enjoyed their first "family" meet yesterday at mid essex.
The looks on their faces said it all, i made the right move. There`s always fors and againsts but four seats means we can all enjoy the cerb rather than just dad.
Smiles all round!!!!!
It`s ocean green(audi paint apparently), not reflex.
I love it to bits.

Cheers

This was the deciding factor for me, too, Al. If I went back to a Chim or Griff it would be something for me to use, me and the wife or me and one of the kids. That's why we went for the Cerbera also.

And the fact that it has a boot means we can go to Sainsburys or away for the weekend and have space to put all the clobber. You can't do that in a Porker or a Dancing Donkey.

Ah, I see your point... Vicki is not generally that interested in the TVR dos and as you can see from the thread below, Gabby's not too bothered as long as there's food and milk!

On the few occasions I think would make a nice 'family' day out we take the the battleship as back up/BBQ/deck chair carrier.

I'm sure when Gabby,s a few years older the it will be a different matter.

cheers.

The Chimaera was a fantastic learning curve. A great way of learning the TVR way but....
The cerb keeps me and my family as a family and not having to keep a rota on who comes out for the day.
Kids are 8 and 10 so are`nt tiny but they have plenty of room and can`t wait to get in.
It`s fun and as far as i`m concerned, practical. Not sure about the shopping bit tho! Blimey, the wife`ll have me cutting the lawn on a sunday next!!!
I know i know, how can something as awesome be described as practical? Cus i it is :-)
Still amazes me at just how quick it is.And LOUD!
Fantastic.

Hello Peter,
I most certainly will drop in but it does`nt have to be when i`m in the area. Since i bought the chim from you last year, distance just does`nt become a factor.
In fact, the further the better!!!
I`ll see you soon.

Cheers

I spoke to your missus at Cars in the park and it seemed to me that there are similarities between our wives.

My wife isn't really into TVR days out, but she comes along because it's a family day out. Even if my missus didn't come out, my kids would want to and I can't fit two kids and myself into a Griff. I can however, fit two adults, two kids, the shopping from Asda and various other necessaties into the Cerb.

The cerbera's 4 seats certainly outweigh the roof removal for me.

Al, great to see you on Sunday, and more to the point, follow you in the convoy. The Kids obviously enjoyed the run as they seemed to spend more time looking backwards and waving out the window than looking where you were going.

The car sits superbly on the road, you have yours as low as mine was, prior to my contact with the Irish roads and ferries (mine now sits about 1 1/2" higher, although may be lowered back down fully when I get the nerve and the underside plate replaced). Nice to see the Nitrons in action, as I only get to feel the effect of mine. Well done on the purchase

Did I get chance to meet you Byff? Apologies if we were introduced and I've forgotten... even though she sees the whole TVR-mania bit as pointless, Vicki did say everyone was really nice and friendly and she was a bit surprised that before Nov 8th last year hardly any of us knew each other.

However, there are only a handful of TVR do's that she would come on, that's the thing that is stopping me getting a Cerb.

thing is, I really like Tuscans aswell. ho hum

By the way Al - that is an extremely smart Cerb you have there, I can see why you're feeling rather pleased

Your cerb looked fantastic in my rear view mirror yesterday. You followed me from the White Hart to the Foresters.
My wife was taking some video footage on the way (not very steady) and got just a few seconds of you in the side mirror.
Email me via my profile if you would like it emailed across.
Sorry we didn't get to talk though

Hi guys,
Lovely evening last night so naturally, the cerb was out showing off.
Jerry,i may have to get the back end lifted about an inch.
With the kids in the back and a full tank, i`m wearing the sides of my rears out on the arches. Going to Le Mans in june and i`ll be carrying more weight then so it`s something i`ll have to sort.Looked goooood in my mirrors mate and i think my kids were waving at yours.
Dave, all i could see was your grinning face in your mirror mate but then i imagine all cerbs have faces like that in them:-).
Greg,it`s called ocean green and in the sun looks gorgious but when it`s overcast, it looks dark and moody.
Al, cheers mate.
To sum it up, i thought our little gaggle of beauties looked the dogs do dahs.

Al
