Winter work done, play time now!

Thought i would get a few pictures of my Cerb up after a few months of work i was doing over winter plus i am board at work lol

It’s 99 4.2 that i P/X ed for my old Chimaera and i have only covered less than 250 miles in it so far but i am loving it in every way so far, it handles so well it really surprises me next to the chim and much easier to drive with the long throttle travel, lighter clutch and fast steering rack. At first I was not so keen on the wheels and bonnet but they have grown on me now and I will keep it the way it is as it is different from the rest of the pack.

I then decided to lose some weight from the car and get rid of the massive ICE system as it was not my thing 5 hours this took myself and a mate!!



Next up was the bonnet mesh i did not like the old chicken mesh stuff so found some Audi RS4 style stuff.

I got the radiator out and gave the cowlings a lick of paint and fitted some silicon hoses and stainless water pipe work too.




Some new good year eagle F1 rubber



I gave the car a 6K service as well but i think i will pay some one to do the 12k’s so it gets a proper going over by someone who knows these engines until i am up to speed.
A nice simple head unit with a 16gb micro usb/sd card reader i like a nice simple system.



I had the dash and air box’s painted in Pearl white too





I painted the rear badge too as it was getting tattie




And my first real run in it what a great car!!!!!!!!!!

Move pics of fuel rail etching please!

Looks like it's getting there now, not convinced on the white airboxes though.

Good work. Very clean . I hate when people do it themselves , it makes me feel very inadequate!

Don't understand what you mean about fuel rail etching?

Each to there own but I love the air box's, work very well in my eyes but I love contrast in my TVR i needed my fix of lairly colours as the crystal Verdy is to sain for me after a Halcyon midas Gold Chim.

Always had a soft spot for these. Very nice especially now all the excess ICE has been dumped!

I often go out there to make a start on stuff, then think, ohhh I'd better go check the tyre pressures, and then I'm gone ages and time has run out

Ahhh it's a sticker. Looks good, thought it may have been etched on. Same effect, probably 1/4 of the price!

Sorry it is etched in and so is the cerbera writing bellow it too but not my work i got it like this

Not a fan of the hood in particular, but the Audi mesh looks a million times better!

There was a yellow one up for sale a while back with the same hood,i think it looksNice to see the work you are doing bud keep it up.Think my rad will be out soon kinda like them hoses,will look sexy against orange me thinks.

There seem to be a few of these about now. I think Amazon's blue Cerb has the same hoodbonnet. Cant say I'm a fan, but I'm sure they aid under hoodbonnet cooling

Not a big fan either of the look at first but the more i live with it the more i like it, not going to change it as the cooling is spot on the car never see's over low 90's even in heavy traffic.

Yeah i enjoy working on them still unsure if i am going to spend any more on this one yet maybe just enjoy driving it for a while unlike the old chim where i got carried away. lol
