One of the top two best driving days ever....

Utterly unbelievable day. Had agreed to meet 'The Belgium and Luxembourg' TVR group yesterday morning. Up and out at the unearthly time of 8:45. Crossed the north countryside in a beautiful, thinning fog with the sun burnng it off.
Arrive at a Chateau where 23 TVRs representing almost all the models from the mid 80s on are proudly posing. Quick shaking of hands and intros and then off to scour the area for Castles. Several sheets of "rally notes" thrown in the boot as there was just me in the car and, after taking 174 wrong turns, arrived at each of the check points on time (albeit from the wrong direction).
Roads in perfect condition, hardly any traffic and 80's music blasting out of both the windows.

Ah yes, I remember it well. Actually nobody could catch Russ that day. Turns out his throttle bracket had broken and the fag packet lash-up had slipped causing him to inadvertently overtake everything else on the road It was, in fact, the 08 SPAreRING tour with you lot when I tried to chase RUSSELM from The Ring to The Balmoral at SPA, late on a Sunday afternoon.

Still, we managed to play half-a-dozen games of pool and drink ourselves into a state of incomprehension to all others that arrived later.
