Window down... door shut switch?

My drivers window no longer winds all the way up. From the way the door reacts on release (that is no attempt is made to wind down the window) I gather I have a failed door shut switch?
I can wind the window down, and up to a point that is similar if not the same as the door release wind down.
I also can't enable the alarm. Again I suspect "door open" switch?
Anything else cause the semi open window syndrome?

Yes but only when the bat has low power

It will either be;
the door shut reed switch in the bottom edge of the door
the magnet in the sill that activates it going missing
the window position microswitch inside the door
the connectors inside the door that attach these to the loom.

The connectors tend to suffer from damp and corrode, so it is always worth checking them first before buying new switches. I replaced mine with AMP waterproof ones and have had no more window door trouble since.

Ended up replacing the magnet.
