Act system,with decatts?

Hi all, I have a 4.5 with standard exhaust,rear sports boxes( now on the way out) and catts. I'm looking at the act full system with de-catts,what sort of sound/volume can I expect( compared to my current set-up)?

I have the ACT big bore system without cats and it measures about 112db at the noise test. Replaceable rear silencers drop it to 105db, just!!

That's at the usual 3/4 revs etc... Well, a bit lower

Are you asking what the noise levels are of your current system?
In my experience the volume and type of sound can vary from car to car depending on so many factors, one being that the sports exhausts come from various manufacturers.
Ultimately, IMHO, you decide what you want eg cats or no cats, loud or quiet etc and then buy from someone like ACT.

I have an S6 with ACT exhaust with decat.

Noise ranges from; neighbor opening curtain and shaking fist, to 'WHAT? WHAT? SORRY YOU WILL HAVE TO SPEAK UP'

As Gazzab says, it depends on your current system and how much your rear boxes have degraded. Worth checking with a meter - someone local will have one, or head to a local circuit on a track day.

And then there's the question of pitch etc...

You're welcome to listen to mine as comparison, I'm near Gatwick.

I have the ACT SJ10 that has those little extra sports tails.

Got way over 105bd at 4000 revs de-catted. That cat does reduce noise a lot!

Recently Austec fitted some extra mufflers in where the de-cat pipes normally live. So now I have 4 separate mufflers in each leg!

This has made it deeper and nicer to my ear and I can listen to the radio now!

Not tested yet (I have a noise meter) but it must be "Track Day" legal now!

However a friend last week said, "That is bloody loud" and I was only blipping it gently! Honest!

I have the decat full large bore sports system from ACT, tested it at hotel outside snetterton on Thursday at 116dB - 119dB at circuit it read 105dB dead with trach can sin place but I only used about 3K RPM.
