Silverstone GT Cup 16th-17th April

Next weekend will be the first race meeting of the season for the GT Cup. We are racing on the new F1 layout at Silverstone supporting FIA Formula 2.

There will be two TVR's competing in the top class. Me in the Cerbera and Danny in a new Sagaris(APM's AJP 4.7 V's Powers 4.5 sp6)!! The rest of the field is very similar to previous years with lots of Ferrari F430's and Porsche 997's also a few BMW GTR race cars will be competing. There is also a Morgan Aero 8 GT racing with us.

Overall victory is our target for this year and pre season testing has gone very well!!

We have a new engine built by APM who have also spec'd and set the suspension up ready for the season ahead. The suspension on the car is much lower and stiffer than previous years and working brilliantly! All of this coupled with a new plate differential has resulted in the car handling better than ever.

Qualifying is on Saturday and both races will take place on Sunday the 17th. One at 11:30 and the second at 16:00.

Good luck to you both. Motors TV sadly doesn't make it into Sky's lineup here in New Zealand but I would love to see the GT Cup races if someone would be kind enough to record and post somewhere?

Hello I thought I would take the A421 to Milton Keynes and then I rather like the run through Milton Keynes to pick up the A5 to Towcester, then pick up the A43 for a short distance et voila!

What do you think?

Nicky- what time are we convening at Silverstone? My Cerb and I are likely to need to leave around 1ish to go and cheer the not so mighty (this year anyway)London Wasps on at 3pm at High Wycombe.
