Toyo T1Sport are the latest and getting very good press on here.

I use the T1R at the moment and have absolutely no complaints.

I had those Toyos with the fancy tread patterns on the front, and the car used to tram line terribly...dangerously so.

Swapped them for Continentals with an old school pattern & it was like driving a completely different car.

Won't go wrong with Toyos - they'e been spot-on whatever car I've had them on.

I use falkens on mine and have no problems with them. I wouldn't use them on track, but for normal/spirited road driving they are fine.

My experience with Fakens is that they are OK when new but go off very quickly leaving precious little grip even though there is plenty of tread left. I currently have Toyos which I am happy with.

Just one word of warning re the Falken 452's

Had them all round on my pokey 3 series a couple of years back, as previously mentioned the rubber does harden pretty quickly in colder weather. More importantly like a lot of TVR's my Bimma stood around in the garage a lot as I don't drive often living in London.....both fronts (225 35 R18's) developed circumferential cracking to the inside tyre wall, ie where u cant see it.....was told this was a pretty nasty fault with the tyre by local Bimma garage and to change asap. I only pootle round urban roads in the main, so not "spirited" by any means....just maybe worth you guys with 452's checking....

They are 452's. On my second set, no problems with inner wall cracking or losing grip. I know quite a few Tivers use 452's and most seem to like them. As I said not as good as Toyo's, but for normal road driving they are alright. And at about £25 a corner cheaper.

had 452's on mine for nearly 6000 miles of hard driving.
pretty much had it now, good alround tyre and will be putting same on again

Thats good to hear as I've just bought a set for my cerb, hav'nt used them yet though, I'm still waitting for my caliper to come back from the engineering shop but should be back on the road for the weekend, i'll give a better opinion then.

Tell ya what they are very well priced,am i right in saying fronts about 75 quid,and the backs 100 quid or am i looking at the wrong ones,400 squid seems very good for a full set,any idea on fitting cost's from say the likes of protyre etc

Toyo Proxes T1R's on mine 17" flavour cant fault 'em (well they don't leave very good no 11's) if I had to be negative!

Got Falkens on the MINI, they're good but don't feel as responsive as the previous Goodyears. I'll see how they fare before deciding the replacement. I felt they'd be better than Toyo's in the wet, based on the reviews online, although this doesn't affect you as much.
