Going by Camskill's prices the guy is charging roughly £13 a corner for fitting & balancing. Not a bad deal & it saves you the hassle of ordering them, taking them to get changed etc etc. Would you get 4 tyres in a Cerb???...LOL

I know I've said this before - but my car came with them fitted and I wouldn't put them on a Cerb.

Had them on a Pug 206 hdi and they were rubbish even on that.

They are fine on the mini but they don't wow me. I read too much negative stuff on here re hardening etc
Toyos seem better IMHO.

Carrying on from what was said on the other thread. I have just changed my wheels over to the R888s for the trackday on saturday and checked all 4 faulkens for cracks and general wear. They are about 2/3 to 3/4 worn (so need replacing soon) but other than that they are good. No cracks to the side walls and still grip well on a spirited drive. I like Toyo's but can't see why I should pay the extra.

I would always run the best tyre you can after all its the only part of the car in contact with the black stuff. so i never skimp on Good tyres.

Got falkens in each corner of mine and can't fault them! Had Goodyear f1 before this but have to say can't feel the difference.

I use Falkens too. As the above poster said, good tyres are important and these seem fine. The Falkens will out perform nearly all drivers on here I suspect, those that actually push the boundaries (track days etc) may need something different though

One problem can be that some cars are used so little that tyres are kept on for too long, irrespective of wear. There is a date code on tyres and with performance cars in particular it may be a good idea not to keep elderly ones

My 'old' toyos have hardened and need replacing, they have plenty of tread but they are old. I can break traction in 4th which I think is down to the tyre and not the bhp.

Personally I still believe the Toyo is a better tyre (had new ones on previous cerb) than the Falken and so thats why I have chosen another set.

ive got toyo 888s on at the mo ,and yesterday while overtaking on a dead straight piece of road i changed from 3rd to 4th and the back let go,not a lot but she lost traction.The road was bone dry,i overtook smoothly and came back in smoothly.now i can only assume there may have been gravel or something on the road?MY Bhp is only 417 which aint enough to loose traction in 4th gear.

Ahem... my 4.5 came with Khumos all round. They looked as new when I bought the car so I decided I would persevere with them whilst I was getting the car back to a standard acceptable to me.

Nearly a year on and they are still fitted. The traction in the dry is fab - only broke traction once, but it was deliberate.

As for the wet - my car doesn't do rain... so I can't comment

Khumos are good tyres had em on my scoob for 2 years before going for toyo's,Khumos were used on many race cars and were spot on in my book,had no issues with em at all.

O/T but Gazzab, I too have a Mini (Clubman) and a Cerbera! Good combination eh?

On topic, I run Toyo T1R's on the Cerbera and I am a fan. Good wet and dry weather performance with a nice progressive break away. Good value too.
