Though tbh they arent expensive new, racing green had them when I was looking.

Sorry to hijack the thread - but my mirror vibrates and bounces around so much that it's next to useless. Is this a common fault, or has a non-standard mirror been fitted to my car at some point? I'd like to get something a bit more firm and stable so I don't have to rely on the door mirrors so much...

Do a search on ebay for peugot 205 GTI rear view mirror and you will see that you can replace just the mirror clip.

Power sell the complete mirror for £15.

I thought they were from Rover 200, 400 or 600's.

Oh ok - if you search pistonheads then you'll find plenty of reference to 205 GTi as the source for TVR mirrors. Dealers only stock one type for all models. I thought the alternative parts section here made mention as well.
Not seen a reference to Rover before.
BUT when I sourced my 205 Gti replacement mirror it was slighty shorter in the 'connecting' arm than the broken original one. But tbh I thought it looked better and improved the positioning for me.
