AJP V8 - Engine In vs Engine Out

Is there a list of jobs that are possible with the engine in situ? TIA

No car as yet, just trying to gauge what I'm letting myself in for. Engine out is unlikely to be possible in my shared garage, and although I'm not afraid of deferred maintenance, I need to work within my limitations.

The WSM link is actually broken, however, in my experience the Official WSM procedure is not always the only way to do a particular job. Owners usually find alternative procedures 'Step 1 - Remove Engine' is not always gospel.

Generally the manual gives the best method in my experience. The fact that you can't take the timing cover off the front of the engine while it is in the car dictates most of the jobs for which you need to remove it.

Lol. That's been at the top of my to do list for the last 3 weeks! Other changes to the site kind of forced on me and life stuff have got in the way.

I can't see what would stop the timing cover coming off, it is the nose of the crank?

I am pretty sure you can take the timing cover off with the engine in situ even with air con .
