steering judder

was out in the beast on sat and after giving it a good blast up the back roads i have come across a judder and shake through the steering wheel only when i turn left it does not feel safe at all had quick look and have not come across anything as yet any one got any ideas

My car felt a bit nervy and then steering started to judder under heavy braking
done a search and replaced the drag link bushes. Wow what a differance! Car feels more stable and no more shudder under braking. I replaced mine with polybush ones £30 from steve Heath

Yep, I'd agree with the above.

A bushing is failing / failed.

It is unlikely to be the drop link. It is usually the front drag strut bush. It is a big top hat shaped bush at the chassis end of the drag strut that goes forward from the lower suspension arm to the chassis. The rim of the bush tends to break off and let the drag link eye move about.

okey will have a look at this when get the chance is it dangerous to drive like that

Loads of them.

There is one at every pivot / mounting point of the upper and lower wishbones, etc.

This is the drag bush .....

update


i just drove down to my local garage as i was picking up my motocross tyre and asked them to pop it on the ramp to see if we could see any thing all the bushes look good and put a bar in to see movement but nothing to talk about so the judder was happening when i turn left so thought it was down to the right side with the load but no as i had a closer look we find that my p/s damper rod is missing and only the spring sitting in its palce cannot get over how dangerous it is has any one had this before. dont really have coin to splash out on new stuff at the now as got my best mate stag doo coming up plus summer holiday and if any one has a decent pair of fronts for sale

I think I've got a spare pair of standard front dampers that might do you whilst you look for a new set? Not after anything for them, just postage.
