Having bought my Cerb in march with 13k on the clock,I thought my first service would be next year sometime .As of this evening 17755 miles on the clock. Are there any independents close to chester or is it main dealer, car runs and sounds sweet as a nut, don't like the sound of Gcerbera's estamate of upto £1500.

Panic not, that is for a service when 'other things' end up needing doing.

£500 - £700 would be an average and it could be less depending on your car.

There's Shane in Stockport, advertises here as SFR Engineering, don't know if there's any closer than that.
He was recommended to me by Joolz when I had an emergency last year.

most probably didn't recommend SFR .. I recommend very few people in actual fact, but maybe suggested SFR as an alternmative if u were really stuck tho..

You definately told me about him cause it was a few days after my service when my clutch went and I had a ferry to catch. You didn't have the parts to fix it at the time.

Maybe I misinterpreted and took it as a recommendation.

Joolz

I was going to pop in and see you tonight as I was passing, see how this manifold thing you mentioned was coming along. Traffic was good though and didn't want to get caught in the rush hour jam.

I live in Chester. Went to Joolz for service a few weeks ago. Took hours to get there and it rained cats and dogs all the way there.
The Job was done perfectly though so fully recommended.
The fact that he had about 10 cars in the workshop and had a waiting list for servicing of over three months says something about his reputation!

Just out of interest, exactly how long did it take you? My parents live not far from Chester so it'd be handy if we could descend on them every time we need a trip to Joospeed.

BTW, Joospeed highly recommended! Excellent service.
