correct answer
No, the correct answer is:It would remain in the livery it raced in. Much more important than my personal tastes, is the history of the car.

I was at the factory on Weds and although I am not a blue car person, the blue ones looked ace
It seems that you're talking about the MP4-12C, not the F1 LM.Onno

Also what on earth has it to do with fezza, mazza, lambo, bugatti???
Amazingly, this UK site doesn't have a section marked McLaren that I can find!Onno
Got to be Papaya Orange for me.
Although I always spend ages drooling over the green one (original press car and top speed record breaker) at the MTC. Sure I had an erection the first time I saw it!
Why isn't there a McLaren section? Could at least change this section to Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Bugatti and McLaren! Seems odd to me, especially since the arrival of the 12C and new future models.

Not entirely sure that is correct Onno, there were only 5 LM's ever produced and all of these were road cars. From what I remember all came in Papaya Orange although some have been repainted since. I stand to be correct though It would remain in the livery it raced in. Much more important than my personal tastes, is the history of the car.

6 if you count XP1 LM, the prototype that McLaren have (and pictured above).
3 of the rest were Papaya Orange.
LM1 looks like this.

Swap the blue bits for red and you have LM4 (though it could be the other way around).

Sorry I was thinking of the GTR. Don't know my McLaren's so well. But I'm here to learn.

F,M,L and B does seem to have become the spiritual home for McLaren,Pagani and even the Audi r8. Perhaps there should be a new "Other hyper cars" section?
I don't understand why all these brands need to be heaped together. There are separate sections on here which hardly ever see activity, if they can be separate why not split this very busy section in a couple of subsections?Onno
Has to be Papaya Orange for me, looks so right on that car.
