Ferrari is long gone I suspect.
As is the house, repossessed in April, still for sale though:

The solicitor is still in a critical condition and I hope he recovers.

Shot a solicitor...? Blimey. I have mixed feelings here...
After experiencing large bills and seeing liquidator fees I can wholeheartedly agree. Funny how in the UK they are not held with the same contempt as they are in the States. No one deserves to be shot in the face but I can see how some people can be near boiling point. Solictors are a bunch of crooks who charge up to 600 pounds an hour for pushing paper around. Seriously who deserves that sort of money, outsource it to India.

There's nothing as expensive as cheap legal advice. No one deserves to be shot in the face but I can see how some people can be near boiling point. Who "deserves" the sort of money required to buy a Lambo?

I know a lot more about this case than has been reported but I can't really say all that I know at the moment. However, the car was sold last year (at a rock bottom price) and was a very nice looking example of the tipo.
Chudley had a huge beef with Ward over the dispute that was heard in the high court (public info) and over another matter (that is not public info). The reports that Ward "couldn't hurt a fly", etc, etc are wide of the mark and (I have heard) that both men were involved in serious criminal activity.

Not even close...I have had bad advice across the scale. I still receive documents from one of the City most prominent legal firm which I have to correct and send back...and I'm not talking about spelling, am talking about international regulatory issues. When we structured the last fund we had 6 firms put forward proposals, every single one had huge holes and refered to incorrect regulation.
Ultimately the only person who cares enough to give you good advice is yourself, never rely on solicitors/lawyers. You only appoint them for process.

yes, this ^^. Someone once told me that for you it could be the most important case of your life but for the lawyer it could be one of many on their desks. When we structured the last fund we had 6 firms put forward proposals, every single one had huge holes and refered to incorrect regulation.

Anyway too much off topic.

I am more on about liquidators here. They are regulated by the government, there is not too much competition and they charge 400 quid an hour on average.Who "deserves" the sort of money required to buy a Lambo?
Why not have some competition, I am sure even at 50 an hour people can still make a decent living. That is still 9k a month per man if they are kept busy. You have no choice but to get shafted by crooked regulation.
Now really off topic, I am going to get my coat,
We can hardly blame the solicitor for getting Mr Chudley into financial difficulties can we?
It's only his fault he was that much in debt and obviously refused to confront it by still having a Ferrari and a large expensive house. He could have easily downscaled and got rid of assets but then he would lose all his bragging rights wouldn't he?

So, what do you do to "deserve" enough money to buy a lambo?
