As in title:

Who would buy it? It has been yellow, pink, matte red, black before, and has been involved in a fatal crash. And Horacio no doubt will charge you a king's ransom to rebuild it.

Seeing the cost of Harrys Zonda, I wonder how much a rebuild would cost?

I always thought that you couldn't repair a car that somebody died in. Although technically he died outside of the car.

Is that the 'Essex Boys' Rangie?

As for the Zonda, if human life was that precious, seat belts would be invented. It wouldn't stop me enjoying the car.... Sorry if that is cold hearted or insensitive for those of a nervous disposition, but the sad truth. An object can't be held sacred because someone (tragically) died. If it did, then trains, skyscrapers and motorways would be no-go areas...

Was that the car involved in the crash near Aldenham Herts, just off the A 41/M1 Junction 5? I would have thought with labour and parts well over £200,000 plus VAT. Carbon fibre is very expensive and Pagani don't do work for peanuts. Even using another shop would be massive money.

Why would you think that?

So if someone has a heart attack in their car whilst stationary (car not damaged at all)

It would seem a bit odd to subsequently write the car off no?!

For sale by the same company that had Jay Kay's wrecked Ferrari.

I'm afraid £200k is unlikely to even cover the cost of parts let alone the labour etc. Without seeing the car the only parts I can see that would be salvageable are the tub, engine/transmission and maybe a few suspension components. Yes it could be rebuilt, Pagani have done it before with notable success.

Personally I would put aside £500k to get it back good as new, but look at it this way, that’s half what Rowan Atkinson paid to get his F1 back on the road after his little excursion so all in all its a bargain biggrin

But a McLaren F1 is worth upwards of £3,000,000. A Zonda is only worth 20% of that max. I cannot believe that the labour and parts would cost that much, if so the car will never be repaired.

My presumption was based on the thought of somebody dying in an accident. Murders and heart attacks don't count. I read somewhere that a car involved in a fatal accident is a Cat A writeoff.

I think your Zonda values are a little off. They're trading for much more than that.
