355 Door speakers......recommendations?

As the title suggests.....need pointers in the direction of quality door speakers. I've got the door panel off and removed one speaker. It's mounted using 4 screws on a PCD of 152mm (6") and a depth of 54mm. I don't often put the stereo on, but when I do, the sound is bloody awful and I'm planning a Euro trip later this year. Can't do 2500 miles without any tunes at all.....
Not sure about sizing but I changed out my stock speakers in my old Maser 4200 (they were the auditorium upgrade ones but still shockingly bad) for some Morel speakers, which were stunning. They are not particularly well known over here and can be dificult to source but there are a few stockists but worth looking out.
I replaced mine with some alpine units if I remember rightly.
Ultimately, you can't get decent sound out of the door speakers alone in my experience.
the best stereo mod I made to mine was the addition of a slimline sub behind the seat, which makes a worthwhile difference. Adding a small 2ch power amp may also be a decent addition.
To get better sound, I would expect you to have to manufacture / fabricate some slightly larger speaker boxes for the speakers as there's just no room for resonance in the doors I think.
