Investment investment investment

Here's an thought, how about people actually buying car to enjoying the ownership experience rather than checking every day to see if it's increased in value.

That is the same article that appeared in EVO last year! I think there was a thread on it as well...

Fixed that for you. Price is determined by availability. Take a look at Testarossa and 308/328 production numbers. As soon as owning one becomes an end goal and not a stepping stone to a 'better' Ferrari, prices will rise. The 360M is getting far prettier with age, this will undoubtably work in its favour.

"This should be taken as a lesson, because it’s currently possible to buy its far better successor, the 360 Modena, for below £40,000"

Where can you get a 360 for under 40K?

The next 'big thing'? maybe not. A very pretty and capable car, steadily creeping up in value (much to the annoyance of anyone who owns a F430), absolutely!

As voicey says article was written last year before the current hike.
Think I posted photo of article at the time.

Bought mine just under 2 years ago so have been lucky with the timing but the reality is cost to change if you want to stay in the brand is not really any different as all non current models have seen similar increases. Plus 20% increase on a 360 is hardly going to help you retire early!

Haha valid point.

Like property, I believe this is all a bubble at the minute and one day it will go pop.

I agree. Some of the prices being advertised for run of the mill cars is ridiculous.
With LHD cars an absolute bargain because of exchange rates these artificially high prices could come to an end with some people potentially getting their fingers burnt

Not really, the gap between 360 and 430 has narrowed considerably.
430 has not risen in value (if any)in the same way the 360 has.

Agreed!

First of the mass produced Ferraris and the beginning of the styling decline that Ferrari experienced in the noughtys. F355's are already overtaking 360's in price.

But at the end of the day that's a good thing. Means that people will be more likely to buy one as a car to drive and enjoy than to stick in the garage and see as an investment.

Agree, Mr Brendon! The 360 is - err - how can I put this - not the prettiest Ferrari out there......

Yep agree too mate.

Spanish equivalent to Autotrader (I think)
http://automoviles.autoscout24.es/?atype=C&mak...

Cheapest 360 Spider F1 with 65,000km on the clock 50,895 Euros. Quick XE.com makes that £36,804 + the cost of MOT/registering in the UK. If you're sensible and want to pay something reasonable, you'd consider LHD.

How is or has any Ferrari ever been Mass produced, fords are mass produced, just look at the amount of 360 spiders in the classifieds on here. Look for red in the correct spec, there's maybe 3.
And they are massively underpriced, for goodness sake a Range Rover will cost far more and depreciate masses, yes they are only going one way, the 430 is a cracking car but nowhere near as pretty as the 360 especially in spider form, I do not care which way these cars go , I certainly will not be selling mine in a hurry, Mike
