My new car has arrived at Stratstones Manchester and I will be collecting it sometime soon spin

I want to have the car professionally wrapped to protect it against stone chips straight away.

I opted against the factory wrap after looking at a number of cars with the Ferrari plastic film fitted eek

Any good recommendations for what protective film to go for, and professional (and insured) fitters?

I'm located just north of Liverpool.

Thanks!

My car will be delivered to this dealership in June and i originally chose the protection from factory until i looked at a couple of cars in there that had been done in this way. They do not wrap over edges and you can see where it has been done a mile away.I was offered a very competitive price from a company in that area and when i asked if the finish would be the same as the cars that were in stock the answer was yes.Paint Shield also use a self healing film and are fully insured in case of any loss.

I also questioned a couple of owners on here on why they did not have it done at factory and this was one of the reasons given to why they did not recommend it.

I have not found a bad work said about Paint Shield on these forums and if you search the forum you will see it has been mentioned a few times in the last few weeks.

They collect and deliver and have taken many cars from this dealership and the dealership next door.Mine is to be collected as soon as it has been prepped by the dealership and returned ready to just drive it away.

Griff7 - what colour are you getting? Sorry - I'm sure you've said before.......

If it's a standard colour - you might want to think about Paint correction - before you get it protected.......

Feel free to PM me....

Thank you for the input and responses.

A pal of mine has suggested I have his car detailer go over my new car and prep it before I have it wrapped. He's even insisted I should stop the dealership from touching the car before I collect it!

Will follow up on all your suggestions!
