California 12 plate or new mc stradale cab?
Discussion
Whilst I only owned the GT-S Auto, I actually preferred it to the California which replaced it. I always wondered how these cars would be received if the badges had been reversed, but anyway...
A neighbour has an MC-Strad and the noise is something else - which really annoys another neighbour who now has to rev his F-Type R even harder now to get everyone's attention driving at 5mph with the roof down. It's actually really funny to watch.

that sounds like a street I would like to live on - listening to great sounding engines on a regular basis - good stuffA neighbour has an MC-Strad and the noise is something else - which really annoys another neighbour who now has to rev his F-Type R even harder now to get everyone's attention driving at 5mph with the roof down. Which one? Owners thoughts and experience please?
I've owned a 62 reg grancabrio sport and liked the car but was appalled by the ( BMX) brakes!
Ive personally not been in a california but looked around one - to me I see them as a 2 seater not a 4 seater. (Not sure how old your kids would are but any older than 8 will probably have grown out the tiny seats).I've owned a 62 reg grancabrio sport and liked the car but was appalled by the ( BMX) brakes!
Have been in (not driven) a coupe and cabrio MC Stradale (both 4 seats), both owners previously had MC Shift S and Grancabrio MC Shift respectively. Both of them say how much of an improvement the Stradale is particularly in the Carbon Ceramic Brakes. They think they have more feel as well than standard steels which I was surprised at, with stronger hard braking performance, they'll never be able to stop like a 911 though - they weigh near enough half a tonne more. Gearbox is a big improvement with quicker shift times, and the sequential downshifting is a nice touch too coming into tight corners.
The Ferrari will be quicker, and more refined (dual clutch box) however I doubt it can match the Masers Noise and practicality to seat 4 adults.
So my question is, is the intended use/purpose to be used as a 2 seater or a 4 seater? and if the latter will the kids fit in the back?
As a 4 seater cab theres no question the Maser is the better option in my eyes, as a 2 seater though the Maser wouldn't get a look in.
Exhaust of MC Stradale is just rude as well

Massively long time lurker here, but also a GranCabrio MC owner (note for the pedants - myself probably included - the MC Stradale is the coupe, the MC GranCabrio is the convertible). Anyhoo, can't comment on the California, but I love my GranCabrio MC to bits and yes, the exhaust is extremely rude, but I've not had any complaints.
Just a note on the brakes, the MC GranCabrio doesn't have Ceramic brakes, but I understand the Stradale does. I imagine its upgradeable, but its not something I've considered. I imagine if I was regularly going to drive it harder than I do, then it might be something to consider.
Previously I had a 4.2 which was great, but this is quite a different car.

Apparently they were! There were rumours that the California started life as the Grantourismo. Google kicked up these images which were around a few years back.I could be just the roof similarities but it was said at the time that the Mas was too good and too costly to produce to be a Mas so was made a Ferrari.
Not my images, just from Google
