I'm not clued up on insurance in Switzerland, but why would he get a 488 as a replacement for his 458? Wouldn't he just get a second-hand 458 and be in the same position as before he set it on fire?
He might have a replace with new policy - in which case, can you still order a 458? If not he would get a 488.Either way, what a spoilt little s
t. I guess if you buy you're 20 year old a 458 it's all you can expect.AyBee said:

The article suggests the valuation he got (presumably for trade in) was less than he wanted, so was going to torch it and presumably get the market value for slightly more, and use that money to buy a 488? Not sure how people are figuring he'd get a completely different car as a insurance replacement.Durzel said:

He wouldn't have got any more money torching the car than selling it (unless he has a new-for-old policy) so would still have ended up with the same amount of money. Maybe it would have been a "Daddy, my car is burndy, can I have a 488 once I've got the insurance money" rather than just saying "Daddy, I'm bored of the 458, can I have a 488", either way, spoilt little s
t. Don't understand why a kid with numerous millions in property and numerous cars feels he can't ask for any more though...AyBee said:
