Insurance? Maserati GT

Trying to insure a Maserati GTS 2014 and they seem to all be asking for a tracker to be fitted. Is this typical?

I had this with Direct Line, so switched to Admiral (IIRC) who were fine

The car actually DID have a tracker as well, but Direct Line were asking for more proof/details than I was able to provide so I switched instead.

My current "fleet" insurer also stipulated a tracker be fitted. Not a requirement on any other car I've had insured with them...

No had mine insured with Tesco and Sheila's Wheels neither specified a tracker

Are you sure there isn't one already on it ?

I had a 2014, and it was standard .

On that type of car, I guess it depends on your postcode whether they ask for a tracker or not.

Thanks guys .. got a reasonable quote from Adrian flux but noticed the windscreen excess is £1500! why! will ask them tomorrow but its usually £50!

gone with admiral as they don't need a tracker, got multi car discount and £50 windscreen cover and £500 excess. What on earth are Adrian flux playing at!
