Maserati GT MC shift gear changes

Maserati GT MC shift gear changes .. as I change gear I have started coming off the accelerator as I do it .. like you would on a manual. In order to make the shifts smoother .. is this what others do?

Yes

Also put the ignition key in but wait a few seconds until most of the dashboard lights go offf then start it up, you should find its less jerky at low speed and when reversing etc.

Not quicker but a lot better in terms of handling, feels more planted and gives me more confidence. Top whack is around 185 mph

The noise in race mode is exhilarating.

I never came off the throttle when I was pushing on, I loved the way it banged into the next gear.It does smith it out when your in sport mode but driving gently though .
As per above, when turning on let everything settle before you fire it, and there is also some debate that if you depress the throttle a couple of times while the lights are up then start it that helps as well.You'll be amazed at the improved smoothness when cold.

Curious, what does it say in the owners manual? I know the GranSport says not to lift off. On other CC/F1/SMG cars, I tend to just curl my toes up a little rather than lift off.

You are doing it wrong if you lift. Neither the CambioCorsa or Duo Select Gear boxes need a lift off so just keep your foot planted. The MCS is the same!

I find that if I'm not actually accelerating hard'ish, as in pushing down on the pedal, and just cruising then a little then a little lift helps. If I'm able to be making good progress then I don't lift.

Similar as changing down is you take your foot off and change down its a slightly awkward change I find that it's a bit smoother changing down when you are breaking
