Hello - there seems to be plenty of discussion on the main part of the forum for bodyshops and paint touch up places but before trusting my car to one of them, i wondered if any owners of a high end car had any recommendations for bodyshops anywhere around kent / sussex. I'm in tunbridge wells and want to get a few minor scuffs on my maserati looked at. any pointers for shops who can do this on a higher end vehicle would be much appreciated. thanks

What about the opposite direction? Is Essex (i.e Chelmsford) too far?

SPR Hailsham

A quick look at their web-site should show you what they are capable of.

Another reccomendation for SPR, they're very good at what they do.

Washington Coachworks between Horsham & Worthing do a lot of 'high-end' cars.

http://www.washingtoncoachworks.co.uk/news

I've never used them myself, but i know Peter Saywell does who owns one of the most prestigious collections of supercars in the UK (see link on their website for tour of his garage), and it looks like a fellow PH'ers F40 in their 'news' section ahead of being shown at last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ concours.

So they've certainly got relevant experience.

Thanks to all for the recommendations - I went along to one of them today, seems I'm going to have to pony up a little more than I'd expected! The joys of driving exotica! Thanks again for the suggestions!

Just got my Scud back from these guys after a front end refresher. Their work is amazing, they also do all of Romans work + Porsche approved...

http://slrestoration.co.uk/

I once hit a deer in a GT3 and had it inspected by Porsche East London once the work was complete. They remarked it was some of the best paint they'd ever seen...

Family run business, ask for Tom or Ben. I wont go anywhere else...

To add... Something I stipulated was a factory like finish. They re-hand painted the stripes on the bonnet so the car keeps that factory smooth run finish as you draw your finger across it. Very impressive...

If you had small stone chips etc on the front bonnet, do people like ChipsAway do a good job, or is it better to have the whole panel sprayed?
