Discussion
I met with Ian Briggs of BAC at BAC in Liverpool on Thursday. We spent a few hours discussing the history of BAC, touring, meeting the people there and looking at the production line. He's bring a car to me in the next couple of weeks for a test drive.
Ian is a really nice chap, the passion he has for cars and BAC, and in particular the Mono, is infectious and utterly genuine. I was really impressed with the quality of everything for such a small company (well, for any size of company). the Mono is built to a very high standard as far as I could see.
The only question on my mind is when I would use it (I race so it won't be a track car, and I have a varied and eclectic collection already) hence the test drive to see what its like for Sunday blasts on the road.
Ring Ian, judging from my experience he'll be happy to spend a day with you.

Had the Atom 3 245 , Lotus 2-11, a couple of caterhams and for last year also had the XBOW

The only car I could imagine swapping the XBOW for is a faster version , or the Mono. The latter is just too much money and unknown residuals for me.
Having driven the flappy paddle Atom at Jonathan Plamer day, I did prefer it over the manual I had, as you were able upshift mid corner to control a slide rather than back off.
What about the Lotus 3-11 ?

Thanks for that, Only thing about the Mono is justifing £120k for as you say a sunday blast & a odd track day.
I'll take 5 if you can get them for £120k mate. I have the price list here, £150,000 inc VAT for the base car plus options. Expect £180K quite easily.I remember the £85k price tag too, thought seriously about getting one, but as said above unknown at the time so bottled it....
Are they selling many at that price range?
Edit to add:

Quite a hit if people are paying list?

I wouldn't have bought the BAC new, £180k is way over the top, I know they are a special bit of kit but thats just too much.
As for the Lotus, Im not keen on the look of it & the one I would want again is around the £120k mark too much imo for a fun car.
Having said all this I specced a Atom with paddles ETC and that was 90k, seems the track cars are getting dearer these days.
