The cabin has held up well looking at that picture. Rear end looks like it caught on fire?

Looks like it jumped the Armco barrier!

From the skid marks it looks like the ABS failed, and all steering too. Just a huge perfectly straight skid straight into the barriers. Very odd

A very refreshing honest appraisal of what happened by Koenigsegg, good on them.

Impressive agility and integrity to post exactly what happened, how it happened and what they intend to do about it. Turns any negative of a big crash into a big positive about the marque and the mindset of the people behind it. Agreed, good on them.

Kudos to them for publishing the technical data.

It certainly raises a question about ABS in certain scenarios. If the car is allowed to rotate some speed is scrubbed through tyre drag and car can impact the barrier into its rear, which can be better for the driver in a mid-engine layout. In this instance the system allowed the car to continue straight, spearing into the fence and getting airborne.

All crash scenarios are unique, and luck can play a role in each.
