Original Gallardo's are Extremely Naff
Discussion
Controversial, but I would be interested to hear everyones opinions on my perception that original shape Gallardo's have become extremely naff. LP560 onwards cars are still acceptable to me.
I was at the Saywell day at Goodwood on Saturday and I saw one and it just struck me when seeing it in comparison to a lot of other similar cars. I think a few too many have been modified/blinged up or just made damn right chavtastic.
Obviously a lot of you will disagree (this is PH), but even I myself was a big fan of them back in the day!

I just don't think they have aged especially well and a few too many of them have some not particularly tasteful "enhancements". Clarkson's original TG piece with the grey and orange spyder was one of my ever favourite TG track tests, because it looked so unbelievably awesome at the time, but i am just interested to see how many people agree with my thoughts

Modified/blinged up/chavtastic cars in extremely naff shocker...I was at the Saywell day at Goodwood on Saturday and I saw one and it just struck me when seeing it in comparison to a lot of other similar cars. I think a few too many have been modified/blinged up or just made damn right chavtastic.

The original Gallardo Spyder is still a stunning looking car IMO

Unmolested they are one of the prettiest cars ever, even with the roof down which is a rarity. Unfortunately the earlier and cheaper G's appeal to a certain section of the market who love to add bling. This doesn't seem to happen (so much) with 360's or 430's. Also, any early G that is available on track days is most likely going to be a dog cosmetically especially the interior.
I prefer the original to the facelifts, especially the rear with the dual exhausts as apposed to the quad exhausts, look much classier IMO and sound better.
Unfortunatly it is the chav drug dealer supercar, even in lowly plymouth around 2010 guess what car the largest coke dealer had? Yup, white Gallardo.

it's not exclusively reserved for pre-560's, have witnessed badly blinged-up Aventadors and 599's recently.LP560 haven't suffered the same audience.....read the full sentence!
