Apologies, just here to vent.

Spend 140k on a car, massive purchase for me. Agreed 21st or 22nd to collect after preparation three weeks ago.

Speak to dealer today,

"Oh, I'm on holiday next week, if you're desperate for it before Friday I may be able to sort something..... "

Waiting to hear back if I can still collect Monday/Tuesday so I can actually drive the thing on the one weeks holiday I manage to take this year.

Grumble grumble.

How much do you need to spend to have a promise kept?

I'm assuming it was an independent? They may sell expensive cars but most act like they are selling Citroens.

It may cost more but you will get an exceptional level of care and attention at a main agent.

Ferrari Main dealer. frown

Weirdly had much better experience with an Independent Aston specialist recently.

I wouldn't be sure about that....once the sale is in the bag after promising you the earth they seem to loose interest.

Feel for you OP, very frustrating.

Always hold some money back to pay on the day of collection - keeps them a bit keener....

I have! I still owe them £65k !!!!

Going to give them a call shortly, find out what the state of play is, and spit dummy if it's not looking good.

Sorted, getting it Tuesday.

They've done me a big favour and "juggled some stuff around"

Don't want to fall foul of name and shame, and to be fair they've sorted it now.

Was just a bit gutted last night as it looked like I wouldn't be getting it in time for my holiday.

Eta it's a 599.

Good news that you've got that sorted. All minor irritations will quickly disappear (along with the scenery) in the rear view mirror when you first give it some wellie and unleash that epic V12. Happy days are ahead my friend. Enjoy.

Thank you!

Counting the hours till Tuesday! smile

Trying to distract myself cleaning the garage and preparing the TVR for living outdoors.
