I agree with the above, again at the P/boro branch. The salesmen are like a bunch of sharks and their stock isn't that great quality from what I could see. A lot of Nissan, BMW and Porsche. I went to look at a MINI JCW that was top end price wise but was knackered beyond. Sales guy was full of bull as to why it justified the price, none better out there etc. I went to their Peterborough branch to look at 350z's and wasn't impressed by the stock or sales techniques
I guess like a lot of places they can have good cars but just inspect them thoroughly and don't expect great customer service.
my father (a retired motor trader) bought a car from them last year and it has been a total disaster. The salesman was totally clueless, knew nothing of cars and could have been poached from the local B&Q his knowledge of cars was so poor. The car dad looked at had a slipping clutch when he got there... and when he informed them (they had no idea apparently), they asked if he would pay towards the cost of fixing it! Seriously, he hadn't even bought the car by this point. Anyway clutch was fixed and upon delivery there were a load of other issues. Everyone was most unhelpful and their warranty covers basically nothing. The car was taken to a main dealer and they diagnosed it with an historic brake issue... I contacted J17 and asked for just £500 towards fixing the defective brakes and I got nothing. Threatened court action in the next letter - no reply. This is the brakes for a 200mph car, I actually said this in my letter and they said "its not legal to travel at 200mph on the road!". From the first to the last this garage is a total disgrace. Their staff are unhelpful and unfriendly most of the time. I phoned them up and pretended to be interested in another vehicle and then asked if turbo chargers were covered on the warranty... they said they were. I then called a few days later and said that dad had problems with his turbo - "sorry mate, its not covered". So that's what your dealing with. All I can say is STAY AWAY! Unless you want to give yourself a bad time and most likely buy a car with historic issues. These people are totally clueless about cars, they judge a car on how shiny it is. After 50 years of dealing with proper decent motor traders even my poor old dad has had his fingers burnt and he's no fool. So to finish, no matter if they have the worlds rarest car for sale... I'd wait for another one to come along rather than give your money to this shameless rabble of Arthur Daley style clueless sharks.
I bought from them once. They give a 30 day warranty which covers a long list of very specific items unlikely to fail (I remember 'valve springs' being on the list.)
My car had a failed thermostat (opening too cold, and not on the warranty list) which I didn't notice on the test drive. Couldn't get them to fix it. They promised to fix certain other issues before I bought the car... they didn't. They said they'd call me back and arrange to have my issues fixed. Guess what....
Use your own judgement about the car you're buying, and don't believe a word they are saying.

I DID buy from them in the end, didn't have a problem tbh....I bought An exige SC, it was a one of four special, and I got it at a decent price. It was due a service and the tyres weren't great, but I didn't want one of their stamps in the service book or to have the incorrect tyres fitted so I took it as it was. It was a very low mileage car and an SOR and not their own stock though. The reviews on their website aren't exactly glowing....
I will never be in touch with them again - i will certainly NEVER buy a car from them. I just had the weirdest / worst car dealer experience I've ever had - and I've had a few... I'm lucky enough to have built a good car collection up over the years, and have probably bought or sold 40+ cars in my time.
I'm in the market for a McLaren 570. Junction 17 have 3. The early red flags were there from the start. I got in touch by email. Ended up in a text exchange with a salesperson. Eventually got sent through some service details, after 48 hours of nudging. One had 10,000 miles / 3 years of missing service records, on pointing this out "don't worry, we'll do an oil change and stamp the book" The best of the 3 was worth a look at, then I was asked for £99 "to reserve and prep the car for a test drive" - what? Is this a new thing, do other dealers do this? I reluctantly paid.
When I got to their main dealership in Peterborough, the car was 3 deep in the showroom, and not "prepped" for a test drive. After 1 and a half hours of dealership theatre "sales process" and bulls
t, I was presented with a form to fill out that if I didnt sign, I wouldn't be able to test drive the car. Below the "fill out your driving licence details" and above the dotted line was a paragraph in red "by signing this you agree to buy the car after the test drive". It's totally crazy - is it me, am I the asshole - but, really, who signs a legal agreement to buy a car before driving it?
Obviously, lots of Junction 17 customers. "It's the same for all our customers mate", "we sell more McLarens than McLaren". The nice salesman said.

I got asked to pay a £250 deposit at a motorcycle showroom a few years ago .This was as they were moving a bike from one branch to the one I was at . It was a used bike.The salesman said we like to ask our customers to pay a deposit to show commitment before moving a bike . I confirmed that if I did not buy the bike I would get the £250 back ,yes he said less the transport costs!
Well I said no and to my suprise he said he would move the bike anyway and call me when it came in . I went back a few days later after his call and took a look at the bike. I said looks good , I would like a test ride . Guess what a test ride requires to deposit !
I left at this point . The dealership closed about a year later , albeit lots of bike dealers have gone.
