I have just bought and opened the latest editions of each.
Seems to me that the quality of the paper inside has markedly deteriorated.
Really not nice to handle.
I think this may be the death of car magazines in that format.
PS.Probably the wrong place to post this.

I gave up on the paper copies and now get Octane through the Zinio app on my various digital devices. No problem with paper quality and I can get back copies too, wherever I am.

Cancelled my subscription to both recently after years of subscribing.

Just found myself not reading them.

Hahahahahhahahahaha.... I thought I was going insane. You are spot on smile yep feels cheaper now, shame.
Then again when the likes of Catchpole etc are jumping ship it makes you wonder.

Paper costs are going up as all magazine paper has to come in from Europe.

I received an email yesterday from a mountain bike magazine that I subscribe to saying they are switching from 8 to 6 issues a year (but keeping the annual cost the same) because of this.
