Whats this on my Capristo exhaust?

Anyone know what the black sensor looking thing is above the pipes? Sorry for the rubbish image.

What car? Have a look on Capristo de website, shows pics of all the systems, is it definitely Capristo, doesn’t look like their usual tips

Ferrari 599 and I believe it is a Capristo. I wonder if they are related to the remote control option they do .. on their website it doesnt show these black boxes

I contacted the UK Capristo importer (Scuderia) about a query I had and found them very helpful.

Nor a valve controller, at least not a Capristo one, they work off the factory setup with a plugin ecu board to kill the power. Install is nowhere near the exhaust, not much would be sensible to put so near as heat would fry things.

Can’t see from the pic but did wonder if it was a laser jammer, have a look round the front bumper and see if you can see anything similar

I think you are partly right ... think it must be the police car warning device in the car but seems a bit strange that its at the back. There may be one hidden at the front as well I don't know.
