About 6 years ago, I could have bought Jay Kay’s Ferrari 360 for £36k. Have kicked myself ever since, even though it would have been a money pit.

Just checked current 360 values and it appears you can now get a decent example sub £60k, which appears to be a smidgen less than a year or so ago.

My daily driver is a Maserati Gran Turismo, bought 4 years ago at <50k mike but now approaching 100k! Am I nuts (probably, yes) to consider trading the GT against a 360?

There’s a very good specialist nearby (Barr Tech, Cambridge).

I have a good indi near me who sells as well as services
He says the 2 cars cost similar to run (I have a GT and he has a few 360s for sale)
They are obviously completely different cars to drive
The masser on trade in with that mileage is going to be £20k
Are you mad well financially it makes no less sense than putting 100k on a GT. If you can afford it and want to then do it life is short

I owned a GT for a few years and have driven a mate's manual 360 a few times. Both very different cars as you would expect. I sold the GT and haven't had a 4 seat car for a few years now - which I miss.

I found the GT quite reliable apart from a few electric bits but noticed my friend in a courtesy car an awful lot during his 360 ownership. It got sorted and he's still got it after 6 years. He talks about changing it each year for a newer mid-engined Ferrari V8 but hasn't pulled the trigger for whatever reason. Iyou fancy a change, then do it for sure. Its nice to change every now and then!

Thanks for the replies chaps - I will give it some thought. As mentioned / alluded to above, I'm not too fussed about residuals, nor am I a collector / investor. Just someone who likes cars and is fortunate enough to be able to afford the entry level stuff.

Gallardo's are also looking good value.....

360's can be very reliable if the correct maintenance is followed.

for an extra £10-15k you could most likely get a 40, a much better car imo
something worth considering?
