Maserati 90th Anniversary Spyder
Discussion
Anyone any thoughts on the 90th Anniversary Spyder in long term value terms. Will the fact that it is a limited edition model help in its long term value or will it depreciate at the same rate as the other Spyders. It is a handsome car in the flesh and I am sorely tempted but I am concerned that I will lose my shirt on it. List is 73k.
Probably will hold value a bit better than a standard spyder but not by a lot I woudn't think...
If they were going to be hugely collecable you wouldn't be able to buy one at list now I suppose.
Beautiful car though, and it could be the last Maserati off the production lines for a while until the whole ferrari maserati alfa thing gets sorted which may help it a bit too perhaps.
Over 3 years I don't suspect you'll fare tooo badly - especialyl if you trade aginst another f-car / maserati, but over 12 months I think you could feel a bit sick if you just want to get shot for cash...

I suppose that is exactly what I had thought although it is good to receive some confirmation.
At the moment I have an 53 MY04 4200CC with 22k on the clock and I am wondering whether to trade now, wait six months or run to 36 mths (with bigger mileage). I like the 4200 but wonder wheher to opt for a gransport or a spyder. Financially a 997 would be better but I really like the Maserati. Alternatively I could just go for a well loved 360 and buy a Yaris for the miles
When is the best time to chop a car like a 4200?

Personally I think the Gransport will hold it's value better than the rest - it's been highly praised as a real drivers car (5* in evo etc).
Anyway - it's all speculation I guess!
