Not sure on it really. I love aspects of it but the looks are to me, unbalanced. I drive a GTC at present and much prefer the looks. That said I like the dash set up (vents aside) and new infotainment system.
The SL should be a luxury tourer but it seem to be trying that little bit too hard.

Well, if I'm honest I've NEVER liked fake vents be it side front or rear and German cars are now more guilty of it than Honda are at present. Also, if I want to watch a widescreen TV,,,, I'll stay at home and watch one as I don't want one in a car. Could've been so cool, but it's not for the above.

Looks better on the video than photos I’ve seen. But it’s still a mix of bland and, to be diplomatic, not pretty.

And I don’t even think it sounds all that good.

As far as I recall, the S Class coupe is dead. The AMG GT is unaffected.

Yes as the SL inherits the wonderful 550 hp AMG GT V8 with twin Turbos in the V. It seems this engine is easily tuneable for close to 700hp too

In fact as it is essentially the same engine as in the AM Vantage, I am not sure why the tuned Vantage version makes way less power than the AMG GT or new SL?

nobody yet seems to understand how acute the 2022, new car shortage will be. I asked the AMG main dealer in Singen Germany today, when I could expect a new AMG SL, if I ordered today, the answer was, throwing his hands in the air, we have no visibility, sometime 2023
