OK, so there's no sign of the next generation model, but Maserati did launch the GranSport version of the Spyder at Frankfurt.

Very nice (although I still prefer the coupe)

Hey Paul

This Car Does Look Good though !
But.........
Am I the Only One who thinks the Lights still should be the "Boomerang" Version ?

The Car looks Great but the rear lights are still not as good as the 3200 (Yes I am Bias I know !)

Opinions Please on a PostCard Guys / Gals !

you are 100% corrcet! The boomerang lights were the coolest thing they've ever done and i wouldnt have a 3200 without em. though i understadn that the modesl with them were early and tehrefore nto as good. shame that, cos they look way cool!

Nice looking motor.

I am sure it would look even cooler with the boomerangs.

Oh yes, boomerangs rule.

And doesn't the saying go "and they always come back"....maybe the delay in the launch of the next generation is to ensure those gorgeous lights make a return

Nope! They looked great, no idea why Maser changed them for the 'seen them a million times before' efforts they install now.

Bring back the boomerangs!

yeah so cool those boomerang headlights.

Perhaps someone can fit them to these new cars?

Also used in a film, see:

American market dictated that they couldn't use the Boomerangs.

Not sure if it was the american market but the one idiot person (who ever that is/was) who made this fatal mistake (or stupid decision) to remove them!

But then again perhaps that is good in some ways cos it makes the 3200s more collectable

Yes it was something to do with the Rear Lights not meeting the standards for the American Market therefore they were changed.
