Oh dear looks like someone had to make an awkward phone call to the owner. Assume all involved were unharmed.

Ouch. Greasy roads. A car that bites. What could go wrong.

Imagine the phone call to the owner .... (if he hadn't already heard from social media)

Ouch. Repairable? At 2 million quid you'd think so.

A technician? Driving an F40? I wonder what dealership that was at?

Happens all the time in my experience. Many of these cars have gone through major work/restoration now. They sometimes need to be test driven off site to check the work.

Almost certainly Bell Classics (they are about half a mile away from the crash scene). I live locally and happened to drive past shortly after it happened - a bizarre sight. It's a straight stretch of road but it was cold and damp. Fortunately it doesn't sound like anyone was seriously hurt.

Having driven an F40 (with the owner next to me) I can confirm that when the turbos kick in it could go very wrong very quickly. Stunning car and in my fantasy garage but I would be scared to use it properly.

I often wonder if stuff like this will have really old tyres on them as well, because they don't do all that many miles, so that wouldn't help things either.

This is your worse nightmare if you actually own the car I reckon.

"The condition of the driver is unknown."

Unemployed would be my guess.

Let's hope the garage is adequately insured for what will probably be a £500k-£1m bill.

Edit having seen the footage that might be on the low side. Took the lamppost clean out.

Luke.

He was going straight on, what would cause him to swerve like that?

Just watched the clip, sounds and looks like the driver planted the throttle which must have spun up the wheels and the rest is history.

Doesn't look like he swerved to me, looks like he gave it a boot full and the car was upside down before he even realised he'd lost control.
