In 2 weeks time its bye bye to my trusty 355 and hello to a 550. Temptation has finally got the better of me and after driving Maranello's demo car the inevitable has happened

01/99 15K miles - Argento Nurburgring/Bordeaux Hide/Bordeaux carpets ( new as they are replacing the orginal black ones which don't look as good )

Currently its in an unprepared state and its immaculate. Looks like its been very well looked after.

Frostie,
it was good meeting and chatting with you today.
Only the rain spoilt it. I hope the two weeks fly past.

Nice one Frostie.

Sounds nice, off now to maranellos site to have a sneak preview. Look forward to seeing it at a meet in the "good weather season" next year.

Thanks Rich, it was great to meet you too.

Your car is absolutely awesome and sounded excellent as you left down the Egham bypass yesterday, and that was without giving it any real wellie

Great News Frostie,
Are you going to have it by next Sunday ? TVR meet in Harpenden? Has it got the standard silencers, if so, I feel Manu and Ajay need to be called urgently for the proper sound track to be installed.

Look forward to seeing you.

Congratulations Mark. Manu told me on the phone. The colour spec you have chosen works really well and is total class. You know you have to have a tubi on it?

Look forward to seeing the beast in the flesh. As Manu says a 12 cylinder Ferrari, a real Ferrari! My 355 will probably break down on me now for saying that!

Good God Frostie, have you no restraint? No? Good! Manu told me you'd bought it and it must be such a great feeling. I've seen the car you're buying & it's really lovely- was admiring it myself the other week. Great colour scheme too- really classy. I'm so pleased for you and it'll be good to see you behind the wheel of it. Nice one.

Thanks for all the congratulations guys.

Gareth - unfortunately I won't have it until the week after next so can't bring it to next TVR meet. I'm sure a proper sound track will be installed before year end

Manu you bastard I wanted to contact you yesterday but their was a problem with your phone. I think I saw a post regarding that by you but I can't find it again. Am I going mad?

Graypaul sent me a stock list and guess what? They have a 360 Spider late 2001 reg in red with crema leather and red calipers. Its up at 115K and I think a discount might be possible(yeh right). I was really going mad and everyone I spoke to said don't do it. I wanted to hear the opposite from you!!! I'd have to draw some money out of the business though as my 355 won't trade in at more than £60K so I'd need to pull some money from the company. Also, still haven't found an appropriate house with the right size garage. I'm being really strong (trying). I even waxed the 355 yesterday to make me forget about the 360. Did it help? Did it f**k.

I hope that rug is bugging you? Thanks for bringing it back BTW.

Rug was flapping around nicely at 147mph......
No - some dick broke into my brothers car and nicked my mobile/wallet.... .....

Saw the post on f-chat - is the F355 not howling anymore eh? That's bad dude... What are Maranellos saying?
Here's what I reckon about this 360 Sp - finance the £115 less "trade-in-355" amount - having the money in the business (basically working rather than in a depreciating asset) should more than offset the interest on the borrowed amount.

Rich, nooooo! Its the combo of the weather and smallness of my current garage that stops me. I just hope I can find one in the same spec sometime in May next year. I dearly hope so.

Manu, the sound has basically stopped howling. Like it did last time. It goes away afterwards. I want to take it to the dealers but can't be arsed. I might email them to see what they recommend. I haven't used it since Sunday so not sure if its still missing the howl bit. I think its to do with the valve thingies. I read somewhere once that they can come loose.
