Tubi exhaust in Switzerland
Discussion
Going to take my 348 SP to the Alps this summer .
It’s got a tubi aftermarket exhaust.Pic enc .
Anyone had hassle from officialdom re noise ?
I am asking bcz I heard a few biker friends have had officialdom crawl all over there bikes ( metaphorically speaking ) with a view to fining / banning entry due to after market cans = loud fitted .
What’s there take with cars ……extra loud cars tourists .
Any experience(s) welcome

I was worried about this when I went with my decat 458. In the end it turned out to be no issue. That said I was sensible with it in built up areas, that’s obvious anyway, and was careful around toll points etc. Let it rip everywhere else. That’s not to say that if they catch you there won’t be an issue but overall I found the whole experience of driving there to be a little blown out of proportion online. Someone will come along with a a horror story though soon no doubt.
have been into Switzerland with group of TVRs, many of which were running loud systems. As long as your exhaust doesn't smell excessively and you don’t drive in a way to attract attention - you’ll be fine. Excessive revving and overrun popping in the tunnels was normal behaviour for our group but more responsible driving through the towns and villages. The Swiss have zero tolerance for speeding.
I find people are usually quite receptive to seeing nice cars on the road - it’s the drivers behaviour that leads to interventions from officialdom.
But to more directly answer your question, there were no inspections or interest at the border in or out.

Thx for the reply’s guys kinda what I thought.
It’s was “ my little helper “ in the passenger seat who needs some reassurance.
Been before in a GT4 with a ANSA system. Never hassled .
Just thought they might have changed and gotten more aggressive with rules / regs / conformity.
I know the Italians ( home of Tubi ) don’t give a monkeys .
