Ahh, my annual 2 week holiday is fast approaching. Myself and the Mrs Mara.UK will taking the Ferrari's out for a spot of touring/racing/hooning. Going to be in S.France and will be going to Italy and back then across to Spain and back. Two weeks of driving after 6 months without even sitting behind a wheel. I have a feeling I will start crying when I fire those babies up.

Driving routes please guys! I was just going to take the coast roads but the longer the route the better. I've got two beautiful weeks and Ihaven't spent a bean on petrol for 6 months. Need to memorise the routes now as I always get lost as I always nail the sweetest roads not the actual route.

I'm very envious.
I drove to Maranello in 2000 (to mecca) and also to Peuto Banus this year. We drove down through Belgium and Germany (tried the car flat out...176 mph ) Spent the night in Austria then continued through Verona to Maranello. This year. We drove around the Paris ring-road through Bordeaux, Bilbao Stayed the night in Madrid (yes, 12 hours driving stopping only for petrol) then onto Marbella.(another 4 Hours) Both journeys I had calculated by www.Mappy.fr The routes were very detailed and accurate. As for road suggestions the mountain roads / tunnels are awesome, drop a few gears then open windows and floor it!! Sad I know but a real blast. Two weeks driving should be about right, I found 10 days not enough and wished for more miles. Next year I will plan another trip probably along the S.France coast so I would be very interested in any Hotels you feel are worth stopping at. Try the web site I used, it is a good starting point. Also a detailed road map of Europe is essential. Good Luck.

P.S What car will you be touring in ??

Could i recommend the Monte Blonc Tunnel! The noise in it is quite awsome if you have anything worth listening to,which any Ferrari is worth listening to.Been through it on a bike at 13000rpm ....wow,and i was wearing a lid.Just imagine a 360 spider eh!

I will try to submit some sort of report on hotels but I haven't driven for 6 months and I am sure I could go spend 2 straight weeks without getting out and there's a drive through McDonalds in St Trop. Gave those buggers a good fright when we drove through in the cars last time.

I'll be taking the 360Spider and the Mrs will be in the 355Spider. Probably switch at petrol stations as I have missed the sound of metal on metal (360 is F1).
Can't wait.
