After spending a year looking for a good 570s spider (in orange..) I'm still looking. Without anything on the horizon, I've started looking at Huracans but a 'regular' model I sadly don't fit in. As much as I adjust the seat my head just touches the roof and is pretty awful to look out of. I loved a Gallardo I drove years ago although these are getting older but this seemed better on the roof.

Are there lambo owners who could recommend a model in which I'd fit ok? Could lowered seats be fitted? I know it's a common issue for people. Budget is at the more modest end- say £120k tops.

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps depends on where you carry your height. I am 6'3" too and didn't find any issue in a Huracan.

Only ever sat in a McLaren 570S but they are known as being more spacious for taller people.

6’3 here and found the Gallardo far too tight (I’m long in the leg) and because I wanted a spider that also ruled the Huracan out.
I actually had an orange 570 Spider for a bit. Loads of room but the car spent most of its time back at the dealer with various issues. When it worked it was epic, and I even thought it made a good noise, but sadly it was a problem car.

Interesting- yes I've probably seen 6 now which on paper looked spot on (including 2 from main dealers) each with a long list of pricey issues- perhaps 7-8k to fix. Their histories are also tricky with lots of owners and hard to track down servicing. I don't want to go Porsche or R8 really, the Ferrari's are nice but unsure about the brand. Always wanted the McLaren after a long list of good Lotuses.

What did you end up with?

There will be some good McLarens out there, so if that’s what you really want then I’d hold out. I bought mine because a friend had a 12c that he drove like it was a hire car, and after 40k hard miles nothing had gone wrong. I nearly went back to a McLaren and had found a 600LT Spider in a rare spec as it had comfort seats (which I wanted). The good thing with the main dealers is they are very open about sharing the history (very transparent by showing how many days a car has been in for issues with them, and what they were). However, it was a main dealer who was a big part of the problem with my car (long story) so I’d be tempted to look at someone like V, Thorney, or Alastair Bols.
I’ve actually gone with something very different and recently picked up a 360 Spider with manual gearbox, as I hadn’t had a manual Ferrari and it is a box I wanted to tick.

I recently bought a 650s and at 6.3 I fit perfectly. I am really impressed by the McLaren it’s super sharp.

6'1" and had problems in a Huracan Spyder, but fine in the Tecnica. I am a beautifully proportioned human being and feel for others that aren't ;-) But seriously, you have to just sit in and try it and see if you fit. We're all a bit different!

Have you test driven a Mclaren Artura, don t be put off by the hybrid V6, it s an awesome 700hp bargain supercar, if you choose lightly used!

I love Huracan as well (that V10 is simply epic), but at the moment Artura is way better value imo.

that's 6" too tall for a gallardo spyder with its seat travel compromised by the roof storage and rollover hoops

Majority of versions were Coupe but my Spyder was for Southern Europe so roof down always. Tried an Aventador S at launch years later and still couldn’t get comfortable in it compared to Gallardo versions.

We are all a bit different. I'm 6'3" and have been in a Gallardo, Huracan and an Aventador, and don't fit in any of them comfortably. Head is touching the roof and I find it difficult looking out without lowering my head. I have a 650 Spider and fit much better in that.
