Reputable SOR Dealers
Discussion
I'm contemplating selling my car, It's a very high spec and the Ferrari dealer doing the service contacted me asking if I was interested in selling it. They then proceeded to take the p*** by offering 25k less than any other similar car on the market - despite them calling me and telling me it was a very desirable spec!
I've spoken to collecting cars and they said they would set a reasonable reserve (£20k+ more than Ferrari offered) but I've never used a SOR company and having seen the horror of customer cars disappearing at GVE who are the ones to be trusted?
I'm in central London.
Thanks

about 20 is a fairly standard dealer spread
looking at it the other way collecting cars buyer commission would be about ten grand so logically any bidder should stop at less than the reserve (which is not a guarantee) as its too close to retail
so if you can chip this or another main dealer a little the question then becomes whether you need a quick certain sale which would cost ten grand more than a possible sale with all the grief of dealing with both the sale process & the potential buyers

Speak to a few more main dealers Exeter or Swindon might offer you a SoR arrangement.I've spoken to collecting cars and they said they would set a reasonable reserve (£20k+ more than Ferrari offered) but I've never used a SOR company and having seen the horror of customer cars disappearing at GVE who are the ones to be trusted?

Note that dealers have high warranty extension costs on the car .
I’m not sure if CC are right offering you £5k less than advertised pricing of similar cars, with their 7.2% fees on top it’d be more expensive than those cars - with all the risk of buying at auction.
Whoever you use if not a main dealer then do a lot of due diligence on their financial position/Directors. Plenty of info publicly available these days.
Even then there are no guarantees as recent events and even further back for decades will show.
For peace of mind sell outright. £20k is a fairly standard Ferrari dealer spread.

Also consider offering car outright to a top
end dealer - who I’m sure would jump at the chance if high spec and perfect. The two mentioned have deep pockets and I’d also give a mega shoutout to Top555. Dealt with them numerous times, they are blue chip & pay very well for special cars
