Two Lambos get make-over

Tuner enhances Gallardo and Murcielago

A tuned pair
A tuned pair
Do you find that your Lamborghini isn't quite distinctive enough. Tuner BF Performance -- BF are the initials of established tuner Bob Fortsner -- knows your problem and has come with a package that adds vertically lifting doors for the Gallardo, and a raft of styling and performance changes for the Murciélago.

The bigger car gets a make-over to give it an aggressive GT-alike appearance, with front splitter, rear wing, new two-piece alloys, transparent engine cover and louvers in the front bodywork. With a new interior that includes leather-clad bucket seats, the Murciélago looks even more high-tech.

The Gallardo gets similar exterior changes, along with a sports exhaust.

the spoilers add nothing and ruin 2 great shapes

the scissor doors on the Gallardo would have been good but they don't go vertically up like they should do - so they look odd too

Not that I have ever owned a Lambo, (love too though) is there a real need for this, don't they go well enough and handle well enough and look great already?????

Reminds me of the 'tuned' yellow Porsche in the background when Matthew Perry (Chandler in 'Friends') was getting stiched up in MTV's Punked programme.....

Did anyone else see this, and could they post a piccy for those who didn't??

I'd take the other bits on the murky there but the rear spoiler really doesn't suit it.

The Gallardo looks the Bees Knees. It is such a beautifully proportioned car and these mods only add to its appeal. Unlike the other poster I think the doors look great - they're almost a hybrid of DB9 Swan doors and classic Lamborghini doors. I'd have one

Meant to add that the best doors currently fitted to a car are those of the Koenigsegg - beautiful. I hope people don't copy those and put them on Toyota Avensisisisis

The Gallardo especially has a beautiful clean shape and all this does is spoil it. I thought the same about sticking bits on the back of the Tuscan to make the Tuscan S, all just IMHO of course!

LEAVE IT ALONE !!!

gallardo looks good in yellow with black bits, reminds me of the Diablo GTR (or whatever it was called) racing car

Murci looks a bit pants but if they did it in the same colour scheme as the gallardo it would be better.

well yeah - but it's still fun to fiddle with them and make them 'yours'.
love the Gallardo doors too...and the wing (though not the Mruky one) dont like the bacl wheels, but then I dont like black wheels!

see no problem with any of these after market accessories. and damn do I now want to see a Toyota Avensis with Koenigsegg doors!!

Lamborghini must be absolutely kicking themselves that they didn't consult the editor of Max Power before putting these cars in to production.

Oh well, they'll know for next time.

I think it's ugly. I've never seen the two lambo's as racecars for the road, lige a CGT or an Enzo, so why the spoilers and black alloys? A spoiler almost never looks good on any car. And if you take a look in the catalogue on the website, you will see a carbonfibre 'bonnet' (not the engine cover, but the one in front, dunno what it's called in english). Now that is pathetic.

I agree completely with the statement about the Koenigsegg doors, they are superb, but 'gullwing doors' like the ones on the tuned Gallardo, they aren't all that nice i think. If a lambo should have special doors, it should - of course - be scissor doors like the murc's...

Not sure why, but i feel the murcielago does not need any modification - its wild enough as it is.

Gallardo could do with some visual 'toughening up' though..

Race seats
Carbon diffuser
Carbon front splitter
Sports exhaust
Corsa tyres

Great.

Rear spoiler
Vertical doors
Carbon interior trim

No thanks.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. The only people who should mess with Lamborghinis are all in Sant'Agata.

I guess some people just HAVE to be different, though. But I DO like the bumblebee colours on the Gallardo. Bright paint and black wheels look nice on almost any car. But have you seen the Hamann Gallardo? That's got a 'kit that (shock, horror!!!) is actually tasteful!!! It actually looks very cool in a more subtle colour (such as black or silver).

In the VLN race endurance series at the Nurburgring, a team has entered an orange e-gear Gallardo for the last two races. It has a huge front splitter, carbon rear wing, carbon engine cover and various other visual modifications. See www.vln.de. Click on "Rennen" in the top bar and scroll down to races on 8.10.05 or 22.10.05.

As a road car, I agree the shape is near perfect. But in racing guise with these modifications it looks fantastic, and sounds amazing too - one of loudest of all the VLN cars with the race exhaust!
