Went to see it today and it looks superb. The back end is different from the standard, which is good as i didn't like the G rear end. Bruce told me the standard exhaust is awsome and it wont need a change.
I have ordered black so it was nice to see it in that colour. The car is a 'model' and will be the one at MPH at Earls Court this weekend.

The white Merci they had was absolutely stunning. If was going to get one of those, it would have to be white. £4k extra though for white.

Agree about the Gallardo, I was pleasantly surprised as it looked very good ...loved the wheels. Wasn't too sure about the white Murci tho'!!

Got the invite to see it in the flesh but too busy. Might get to MPH though and tough out the crowds.

Saw the Murci outside the showroom looking less than showroom and think it looked crap. Don't doubt it looks great when A1 but would personally prefer Orancio.

When are you being quoted delivery Chris ?

Bruce said i was in the first 6 which they think could be March/April or maybe May. My car is £10k cheaper than they guys in London first thought, which was nice. Still a very expensive car though !

The Diablo 6 litre was the one that I drove up the hill at Goodwood FOS this year. Lovely car, and one of the best, condition wise.

well just hope you hold on to your hat for resale

just got rid of mine after 9 months and lost 30K was told afterwards I had done rather well!

Very nice cars but the residuals fall apart. I sold mine as i was not prepared to lose 2K every month even though i did not use it!

I was just thinking the same - I did double the national average wage in a year!

You have to go into these things with your ewyes open I guess but it still hurts...I'd still have a Murci mind you!

quite honestly after my gallardo experience i cant think of anyone in their right mind who would buy one knowing what the residuals are. And it never stops dropping.

It would seem first year drop is about 30K 2nd year 26K and i dont see it levelling off

Thats 56k after 2 years. That would mean 53 plates with base spec should be at ~65k. Haven't seen that yet.

Thanks. Been waiting for my dealer to get back to me with the confirmed price. Thought maybe he'd forgotten.

Octane,

If not being too nosey as I'm looking at maybe buying a used Gallardo, what year/miles/colour and what did you get for it in the end?

Tbh, I think the whole sports/premium car market is a bit fooked now as there are far more great used and new cars around nowadays, vying for the same limited number of buyers. It's a buyers market really and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

All i can say is that Tom hartley offered 70K for a 4K miles 04 car UK supplied in perfect condition.

dealers might be asking 85-90 but thats not the point!

Still at least you know that if you are looking at acar from Tom hartley that he has bought ino stock that he is making 20K on it!
